Soline is a small settlement on the north-west side of Dugi otok. It is located in the large bay Solišćica, which is due to its depth ideal for anchoring bigger yachts and ships.
The place was named after the salt deposits that were in the cove, and the first memorial originated in the 12th century. Church of Saint Jacob was built in the 15th century.
The islands are also significant at the first elementary school on Dugi otok. Today there are only 39 inhabitants living there, so Soline is the ideal place for relaxation and rest.
